Pavement Evaluation Project

GeoView was tasked with identifying localized changes in the pavement thickness along a 2 mile section of Thacker Avenue in Orlando, Florida.  Because the roadway could not be closed down for the survey, the data had to be collected using our high speed roadway GPR system with a rolling roadblock. The data was collected at speeds of approxiamtely 20 mph. Data was simultaneously collected with both a 2300 MHz antenna and an 800 MHz antenna. This configuration allowed for mapping of both the pavement and underlying sub-base. Positing was controlled using an integrated sub-meter GPS system. Examples of the data are shown below.
